Fabrica la Aurora features a long brick facade punctuated by arches made of quarried volcanic Cantera stone. Above the central wrought iron gate, metal letters spell out the name La Aurora. Originally established in nineteen oh two, this site operated for nine decades as one of central Mexico’s most significant textile factories. It once provided a livelihood for hundreds of local people who produced percale, muslin, and flannel on industrial looms.
