The Museo Histórico Casa de Allende is a two-story colonial residence at the corner of Cuna de Allende and Umarán. You can distinguish the building by its asymmetric facade, which blends baroque and neoclassical styles, and the intricate wrought-iron balconies. A Latin inscription on the frieze reads, "HIC NATUS UBIQUE NOTUS," meaning "Born here and known everywhere."
