Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel

The Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel features soaring, neo-Gothic towers built from pink volcanic stone. While the parish dates back to the sixteenth century, the facade was a transformation completed in eighteen ninety. The structure rises above the central square with a silhouette resembling a European cathedral more than a traditional colonial church.
