Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez El Nigromante

The Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez, known locally as Bellas Artes, is marked by a distinctive, bright yellow facade that stretches along the street. This building began its life in seventeen fifty-five as the Convento Real de la Concepción, a religious cloister funded by María Josefa Lina de la Canal y Hervás. After the mid-nineteenth-century Reform Laws ended its life as a convent, the structure served as a school and even a military barracks before its eventual transformation into a center for the arts.
