Teatro Angela Peralta

The Teatro Ángela Peralta in the heart of San Miguel de Allende is identifiable by its elegant, nineteenth-century façade located on Mesones Street. Construction began in April eighteen seventy-one under the initiative of revenue administrator Juan Mañón. Completed two years later, the building was initially constructed with adobe walls and a tile roof. It was named in honor of the renowned Mexican soprano Ángela Peralta, who was then captivating audiences across the country.
