The Realengracht is the only canal in Amsterdam that features two wooden drawbridges, known as bridge number three hundred sixteen and bridge number three hundred twenty. It traces the southern edge of the Realeneiland, one of the three Western Islands created during the first quarter of the seventeenth century.
