The Karthuizerhof is the largest courtyard, or hofje, in the Jordaan neighborhood. You can identify it by the inconspicuous gate tucked between the buildings on the Karthuizerstraat, which opens into a pair of quiet, interconnected squares that hold ninety-one individual dwellings.
