Founded in eighteen seventy-five by Wan Sixuan, this traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy emerged during the early Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It became recognized as one of the top three pharmacies in the city, contributing to a regional pharmaceutical market that gained a reputation rivaling those in Beijing.
