Nansongyu Street

Nansongyu Street is marked by stone arches placed every hundred meters, each bearing the name of the Southern Song Imperial Street in Chinese characters. This pedestrian thoroughfare, stretching over four kilometers, follows the north-south axis of Hangzhou as it existed when the city served as the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty from eleven thirty-eight to twelve seventy-six.
