Dama Lane is a narrow, two hundred meter alleyway in the Shangcheng District of Hangzhou, identifiable by the constant bustle of its open-air market and the scent of traditional local delicacies. Known as the city’s last remaining street market of its kind, the lane has served as a center for daily trade for centuries. Its name originates from the Southern Song Dynasty, when the imperial cavalry office—the Ma Jun Si—was established in this immediate vicinity.
