Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene

The Cathedral of Saint Mary Magdalene is a brick Gothic church in Wrocław, identifiable by two monumental towers connected at a height of forty-five meters by a narrow stone footbridge. Established in the thirteenth century, the structure became the city’s first Protestant church following the Reformation in fifteen twenty-three, and it now functions as a cathedral for the Polish Catholic Church. A striking feature on its southern wall is an intricately carved Romanesque portal, salvaged from a Benedictine abbey in Ołbin and integrated into the facade in fifteen forty-six.
