Dom Handlowy Kameleon

The Dom Handlowy Kameleon is defined by a striking, rounded corner made of glass that curves gracefully to follow the intersection of the streets. Completed in nineteen twenty-eight as the Rudolf Petersdorff Department Store, it is the only building in Wrocław designed by the renowned architect Erich Mendelsohn. The structure sits on a steel frame encased in concrete, with long horizontal bands of windows and brass fittings that wrap around its exterior.
