Narmanlı Apartmanı

other

The Narmanlı Apartmanı sits at the corner where Maçka and Hüsrev Gerede streets meet in Teşvikiye. Built in nineteen thirty-two by the sons of Narmanlı Hacı Mustafa Efendi, this seven-story residence was designed by an architect named Antranikyan to serve as a private home for the family, rather than as a commercial investment. The building occupies a site that once hosted the mansions of Ottoman elites, marking the neighborhood's transformation into a hub of modern apartment living during the early republican era.
