The Ship sits on the corner of Wardour Street and Flaxman Court, identifiable by its traditional pub exterior and its history in the Soho music scene. Records trace a pub to this site back to at least seventeen eighty, when it opened under the name The Ship in Distress. By the nineteenth century, the name had been shortened to The Ship, and the building was rebuilt in the late eighteen nineties.
