Casbah

The Casbah is a rock club identifiable by its unpretentious exterior and the constant flow of music fans gathering on the sidewalk near Kettner Boulevard. Founded in nineteen eighty-nine by Tim Mays, Bob Bennett, and Peter English, the venue began as a small space with a legal capacity of seventy-five people on the site of a former Irish pub. It earned its reputation by booking bands just before they achieved national fame.
