Piazza della Famiglia

Piazza della Famiglia is a pedestrian plaza paved with cobblestones and centered on a large tiled fountain, distinguished by its unobstructed view corridor toward the San Diego Bay. It occupies a one-block stretch of West Date Street that was permanently closed to automobile traffic to create this ten-thousand-square-foot public space. Dedicated in March twenty-eighteen, the project was developed by the H.G. Fenton Company in partnership with the Little Italy Association and the City of San Diego.
