Portside Pier

Portside Pier is a two-level dining complex built entirely on an over-water platform along the North Embarcadero. You can pick it out by the curved barrel-shaped roof covered in zinc shingles, which mimics the lines of a fishing boat, and two tall glass structures at either end that resemble giant fishing baskets. A three-thousand-pound octopus sculpture is mounted to the wall, paying tribute to the area's history as a working fishing port.
