George Christopher Playground Park

George Christopher Playground is a nearly seven-acre park tucked between the Diamond Heights Shopping Center and the northeastern rim of Glen Canyon. You can identify this space by its collection of modernist play sculptures, including a concrete saddle slide and a metal dome, which have been preserved from the park's nineteen-seventies origins as relics of the mid-century Creative Play Design movement.
