Gold Mine Hill

Gold Mine Hill sits as the central peak among the three hills that define the Diamond Heights neighborhood. Reaching an elevation of six hundred eighty feet, it serves as the foundation for a planned residential community that took shape between nineteen forty-nine and nineteen seventy-eight. While many hills in San Francisco carry names tied to early legends or mining hoaxes, this peak was integrated into a massive urban renewal project led by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.
