Lower Great Highway Trail

The Lower Great Highway is a two-mile residential frontage road that runs immediately parallel to the Pacific coastline in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset district. You can identify it by the frequent stop signs at almost every intersection and the line of houses sitting on its eastern edge. A multi-use trail separates this local street from the larger Great Highway to the west, creating a corridor designed for slower traffic and neighborhood access.
