Pasadena Velasco Open Space

The Pasadena Velasco Open Space is a steep, six-thousand-square-foot hillside lot that rises between the end of Pasadena Street and Velasco Avenue. Originally a rocky mound, the site remained undeveloped because the terrain was too sharp for a continuous street to be built across its face. For years, the land existed as an unaccepted public street, overgrown with weeds and often used as a dumping site.
