The Steps to Wisdom is a mosaic-covered stairway located on the Goettingen Stairs, which connect Goettingen Street to Dwight Street in San Francisco’s Portola District. The stairs are defined by fifty-nine risers designed by artist Phillip Hua, which feature a multicolored gradient shifting from charcoal gray at the bottom to a golden yellow, ending in mirrored tiles at the top.
