Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives

The Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives is defined by a cluster of three distinct buildings built between eighteen twenty-one and eighteen forty-one, each showcasing a different material approach to life in the islands. The site features the oldest surviving Western-style wooden house in Hawaii, constructed from pre-cut timbers shipped around Cape Horn from Boston, alongside two later structures built from blocks of coral cut from offshore reefs.
