The bronze statue of Queen Lili‘uokalani stands between the Hawaii State Capitol and ‘Iolani Palace, positioned on a granite base. Cast in the early nineteen eighties by American sculptor Marianna Pineda, the figure reaches eight feet in height. The Queen is depicted stepping forward with her left foot, while her right hand hangs open. She wears a flowing robe, a traditional lei niho palaoa around her neck, and a coronet comb surmounted by a cross on her head.
