The Omni Parker House stands on the corner of Tremont and School Streets, marked by its classic, multi-story masonry facade that has occupied this block since eighteen fifty-five. As the longest continuously operating hotel in the United States, it introduced the European Plan to the country, separating the cost of lodging from meals. While the original building was replaced in nineteen twenty-seven, the site has functioned as a hotel since its inception.
