The Arc de Triomphe at Paris Las Vegas is a two-thirds scale replica of the famous monument in France. It sits on a traffic island at the resort's porte-cochere entrance, positioned to greet travelers arriving along the Las Vegas Strip. Unlike the original in Paris, which was built between eighteen oh six and eighteen thirty-six to honor soldiers, this version was constructed as part of the Paris Las Vegas resort, which opened on September first, nineteen ninety-nine.
