The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas stands out on the Strip with its pair of towering, blue-glass prisms that twist and fold, creating a look of modern motion against the skyline. It occupies only eight and a half acres, a very small footprint compared to most megaresorts in the city. Because the space was so tight, the architects had to build vertically, stacking the casino, restaurants, and entertainment venues into a compact, multi-level podium.
