Caesars Palace

landmark

Caesars Palace is defined by its sprawling, Greco-Roman architectural theme, featuring marble-style columns, fountains, and classical statuary that evoke the grandeur of ancient times. Opened on August fifth, nineteen sixty-six, by developer Jay Sarno, the resort was the first in Las Vegas to build its entire identity around a singular, immersive fantasy. Sarno famously chose to omit the apostrophe from the resort's name, insisting it be called Caesars Palace rather than Caesar’s Palace. He intended the name to signify a place for everyone, where every guest could feel like a Caesar.
