Wall of Sound

Wall of Sound occupies a small storefront at the intersection of Twelfth Avenue and Pike Street on Capitol Hill. Its name originated in nineteen ninety when founders Mark Sullo and Eric Hoffman opened the shop inside a Belltown bookstore. Because their initial retail footprint was limited to a single wall of records, they adopted the moniker as a practical description of their space rather than as a reference to the famous musical production technique of Phil Spector.
