The stèle commémorative du génocide Arménien in Clichy is a stone khachkar—a traditional Armenian cross-stone—situated on the Place Charles Aznavour. Designed by artist Harutyun Ekmalyan, this monument stands in a municipal square to commemorate the victims of the nineteen fifteen genocide. The square itself was once known as the Place du vingt-quatre avril dix-neuf cent quinze, a date that marks the beginning of the mass deportations and killings of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
