The Levallois-Perret Cemetery is a municipal burial ground established in eighteen sixty-eight, shortly after the formation of the suburb itself. Located in the northwestern outskirts of Paris, it contains more than twenty-seven thousand graves spread across nearly twenty acres. While many communal cemeteries are known primarily to locals, this site holds the final resting places of figures whose work shaped modern French culture, including the engineer Gustave Eiffel and the composer Maurice Ravel.
