Place du Duc d'Orléans

The Place du Duc d'Orléans is defined by a large bronze equestrian statue of Ferdinand-Philippe, the eldest son of King Louis-Philippe and heir to the French throne. This statue, designed by the Italian sculptor Carlo Marochetti and cast in eighteen forty-four, stands at the center of a junction that was renamed for the prince in nineteen eighty-one.
