The Salle Pleyel at two hundred fifty-two rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is defined by a distinct Art Deco façade that marks its presence in the eighth arrondissement. Originally opened in nineteen twenty-seven, the building was conceived by acoustician Gustave Lyon to serve as a dedicated home for symphonic and chamber music. Lyon worked alongside architects Jacques Marcel Auburtin, André Granet, and Jean-Baptiste Mathon to craft a space where acoustic precision stood as the primary objective.
