The Pavillon de la Suède et de la Norvège stands out for its dark red pine woodwork, ornate carvings, and storybook gables that recall the traditional architectural style of Scandinavia. Designed by the Norwegian architect Henrik Thrap-Meyer, the structure was originally built to represent Sweden and Norway at the eighteen seventy-eight Universal Exhibition in Paris.
