Pavillon de Musique

landmark

The Pavillon de Musique in Neuilly-sur-Seine is a compact, square structure built of brick and stone around seventeen eighty-four. It sits at the northern end of what remains of the Folie Saint-James, an estate once celebrated for its elaborate garden of artificial grottos, waterfalls, and canals. Designed by the architect Jean-Baptiste Chaussard, the pavilion originally served as a cabinet of curiosities for the Baron de Sainte-James to display his collections of minerals and shells.
