Château de Bagatelle

The Château de Bagatelle sits within the Bois de Boulogne, distinguished by its neoclassical architecture and the modest Latin inscription, Parva sed apta, meaning "small but suitable," carved above its entrance. This house was commissioned in seventeen seventy-seven by the Comte d’Artois, a brother of King Louis the Sixteenth, who intended it as a private retreat for hunting and lavish parties.
