In the early nineteen nineties, the composer Vangelis established a recording space here in Neuilly-sur-Seine known as Epsilon Studio. Unlike traditional, windowless recording environments that isolate musicians from the outside world, this studio was defined by its walls and ceiling made almost entirely of glass. Vangelis designed the space specifically to maintain a connection with the natural environment, allowing him to observe the shifting light of day, the changing seasons, and the movement of birds while he worked.
