The Maisons Jaoul are a pair of residential villas in Neuilly-sur-Seine defined by their vaulted roofs and a rugged exterior of unpainted concrete and exposed brick. Designed by the architect Le Corbusier, these buildings were commissioned by André Jaoul, who first approached the architect with a project in nineteen thirty-seven. While the original plans were drawn before the war, construction did not begin until nineteen fifty-three, with the project completed between nineteen fifty-four and nineteen fifty-six.
