Villa Windsor

Villa Windsor is a secluded mansion of cut limestone, identifiable by the tall, wrought-iron fence that rings its two point seven-acre garden on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. Built in nineteen twenty-nine by architect Roger Bouvard, the house was originally commissioned as a private residence for the businessman Henri Lillaz. During the German occupation, it was seized for the use of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring, before being reclaimed by the French government in nineteen forty-four.
