The Maison du Commandant Charcot at fifty-three boulevard du Commandant-Charcot is identifiable by its neo-Norman style, defined by overhanging roofs, wooden timber framing, and a distinctive tourelle. Originally built in eighteen thirteen, the house became the residence of the neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot, who began renting it in eighteen sixty-seven before purchasing the property in eighteen eighty-three.
