Musée Marmottan Monet

The Musée Marmottan Monet occupies a handsome nineteenth-century mansion near the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. It is recognizable by its elegant, residential exterior, which reflects its history as the private home of art historian Paul Marmottan. He filled these rooms with his collection of Napoleonic-era art, empire furniture, and bronzes, which still furnish the main floors of the building.
