Pont Mirabeau

The Pont Mirabeau is a metal arch bridge crossing the Seine, connecting the fifteenth and sixteenth arrondissements. Constructed between eighteen ninety-three and eighteen ninety-six, it spans one hundred seventy-three meters with a central arch and two side arches. Its most distinct visual features are its two stone piers, which are shaped like boat hulls—complete with prows and sterns—and adorned with four large bronze allegorical statues by sculptor Jean Antoine Injalbert representing the City of Paris, Navigation, Commerce, and Abundance.
