The Pont d’Iéna spans the Seine with five distinct stone arches, each marked by imperial eagles carved into the stonework. Connecting the Eiffel Tower on the Left Bank to the Trocadéro on the Right, the bridge stands as a direct commission from Napoleon Bonaparte. He ordered its construction between eighteen oh eight and eighteen fourteen to commemorate his victory over Prussian forces at the Battle of Jena.
