La Fermette Marbeuf, now housing the Beefbar, is defined by the elaborate Art Nouveau glass roof and intricate ceramic interior of its nineteenth-century dining room. Established in eighteen ninety-eight, the restaurant was designed to provide a lavish setting for guests of the nearby Hôtel Langham during the time of the nineteen hundred Universal Exhibition.
