The Musée Jacquemart-André is a grand nineteenth-century mansion located at one hundred fifty-eight Boulevard Haussmann. Its monumental limestone facade, marked by intricate ironwork and a sweeping carriage entrance, announces a residence designed for wealth and display. Built between eighteen sixty-nine and eighteen seventy-five by architect Henri Parent for the banker Édouard André, the home was created specifically to house an expanding collection of fine art.
