Théâtre des Champs-Élysées

The Théâtre des Champs-Élysées is defined by its facade of white marble and reinforced concrete, decorated with five distinctive bas-relief sculptures by Antoine Bourdelle. Completed in nineteen thirteen, the building was the first major example of Art Deco architecture in Paris. Impresario Gabriel Astruc commissioned the theater to serve as a home for music, dance, and opera, enlisting architects Auguste and Gustave Perret to realize the design.
