Palais de l'Alma

The Palais de l'Alma is identifiable by its long, nineteenth-century façade and the triangular pediment that faces the Quai Branly. Built between eighteen sixty-one and eighteen sixty-four by architect Jacques-Martin Tétaz, the complex was originally designed to house the imperial stables and staff for Napoleon the Third, who required horses to be available at all times.
