The Laboratoire Aérodynamique Eiffel sits on rue Boileau, identified by a metal-framed hangar that houses a wind tunnel designed by the engineer Gustave Eiffel. Opened in nineteen twelve, this facility replaced an earlier, smaller laboratory he had built at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It is the oldest aeronautical laboratory still in operation today.
