Piscine Molitor is defined by a geometric white facade and yellow metal railings that give the structure the appearance of a moored ocean liner. Inaugurated in nineteen twenty-nine, the complex was designed by architect Lucien Pollet to house both indoor and outdoor pools. It quickly became a center of Parisian social life, where guests frequented its onsite restaurants and salons, or watched theatrical performances and beauty contests held by the water.
