The Immeuble Molitor is recognizable by its expansive, shimmering facades made entirely of glass blocks. Designed by architects Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret and built between nineteen thirty-one and nineteen thirty-four, this eight-story residential building marks the boundary between the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris and the commune of Boulogne-Billancourt. It holds the distinction of being the first apartment house in the world to feature fully glazed facades, a design made possible because the building sits on a parcel with no direct neighbors obstructing its view.
